Basic Info
Name:Klavier Gavin
Bio
Player's Name/Alias: Pasket
Player’s Personal LJ: [info]chocobodork

Character's Name: Klavier Gavin
Series/Fandom: Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
Original/Alternate: Original

Age: 24
Gender: Male
Species: Rock God. Human
Appearance: Klavier has a look fitting the front man of a wildly popular rock ‘n’ roll band, attractive, a touch flamboyant, but executed in a manner that seems effortless. He’s tall, admirably fit, and has blond hair and light blue eyes. These natural attributes coupled with an even tan, carefully picked wardrobe, and edgy haircut (it looks like a ‘G’ upside down. Cool, ja?) make him a real stunner. His attire usually consists of a purple jacket layered over black shirt (collar popped. Always popped.) and slacks, finished off with lots of silver jewelry. Rings, earrings, chains-for-belts, and, most importantly, his ‘G’ pendant necklace.

Honestly, it’s a little gaudy, but he’s a rock star, not to mention an Ace Attorney-verse prosecutor. “Gaudy” is a job requirement.

Personality: Generally laid back and charismatic, Klavier’s the epitome of cool. He’s often playful, teasing almost everyone he considers to be a good acquaintance. He’s been known to sometimes take this too far, and a select few find it irritating. Most brush it off. He’s a smooth talker, and its rather hard to stay mad at him. He also casually flirts with everything that moves, but he keeps it inoffensive. He’s too classy for cheesy pick up lines.

On the other hand, Klavier’s an extreme perfectionist. He’s very driven, and excepts failure from no one. When something goes wrong, he’s no longer Mr. Cool, instead coming off as bossy, demanding, and even a bit whiney.

Diva-ing aside, he’s a good man, with a strong sense of right and wrong. When it comes to the courtroom, he’s all about putting the right person behind bars, no matter who they are, or what personal connection they have to him.

Skills and Abilities: Klavier has the arduous task of balancing two time-consuming jobs, both of which he is very good at. Since he was seventeen, Klavier has been prosecutor by day and musician by night. As a state prosecutor, he can often come off as overly laid back, but that’s really just his style. His legal moves are steered by strong ethics, and he’s always out to put the right person behind bars. Almost without exception, he succeeds.

As far as music goes, Klavier’s the front man for world famous band the Gavinners. Not only can he sing and get the crowd going, he’s also an excellent guitarist. And an excellent air guitarist.

It can also be assumed that Mr. Gavin is a fair linguist, having mastery over both English and German, and a small knowledge of Borginese. Whatever that is.

Personal Belongings: Rock ‘n’ roller that he is, Klavier’s most prized possession is his guitar. It’s surprisingly simple, an acoustic of good make with no truly notable qualities but its exceptional sound. It’s of no real sentimental value, just a replacement of sorts for a very good, important guitar that was burned to a crisp during a rather eventful concert. He’s got a lot of guitars, but this is the one he plays most often. He keeps it locked tight in its case when he isn’t playing it.

Which brings us to our next matter of business: his keys. Klavier has a distinctive key ring-- a piece of heart shaped metal with a purple strap-thing--which holds two keys to his modes of transportation (car and motorbike) and a rather unique key to his guitar case. Guitar-shaped keys are hard to come by. In the same case that his guitar was char-broiled, the keys were temporarily stolen and later became evidence in a murder case. He through a temper tantrum, the prima donna.

Finally, Klavier has a large necklace which he is almost never seen without. It’s made of a large silver chain with a equally large “G” symbol on it. Not only is “G” his final initial, but it’s shaped like the distinctive “G” that is the Gavinners’ logo.

Duelist Weapon: Klavier’s more of a lover than a fighter, and would never risk ruining his good looks in a sword fight, so he’s going to be a Rose Bride.

School Uniform: Klavier keeps it simple: black button down shirt, collar eternally popped, with black slacks. If he’s feeling especially pretty, he’ll throw in the purple suit jacket. It’s good to mix things up.

History: Little is known about Klavier’s parents, except that they are largely out of the picture. Instead, it is assumed that he was raised by his older brother from a very young age. The two were close, and both went into the same career field, Kristoph as a defense attorney and Klavier as a prosecutor. In Klavier’s first trial at the age of seventeen, he was set to face his brother in court.

But things never quite play out as planned. The defendant, one Zak Gramarye, suddenly changed defense attorneys at the last moment, instead opting for the much more poker-oriented Phoenix Wright. That’s how they decide critical things in the Ace Attorney-verse. With poker games. Though disappointed that he would not be facing his brother, facing the famous Phoenix Wright would be anything but a cakewalk. Not the best case scenario, but not the worst one, either.

Until things got even weirder. Soon after finding out that he’d not be facing his brother, he found out that Phoenix Wright would be presenting forged evidence. Klavier didn’t want to believe it, so he kept quiet during most of the trial the next day, but when the forged evidence was indeed presented, he had no choice but to bring this to the attention of the court. Phoenix Wright was disbarred, the defendant escaped, and Klavier Gavin gained a particular dislike for the now ex-defense attorney.

Around the same time, Klavier started his band the Gavinners. Over the next seven years, they were a success, churning out hit album after hit album. His prosecuting career was also a success, always managing to put the right person behind bars.

Time flowed on not uneventfully, but nothing too life changing happened. At least until Phoenix Wright ended up in court once more, now on trial for murder, defended by none other than Kristoph Gavin’s protégé, the young Apollo Justice. Phoenix was acquitted, but in his place was Kristoph Gavin.

Now, it would seem a man would be upset over his only brother getting shipped off to prison. Perhaps there was some diva-ing behind the scenes, but, when he faced Apollo in court, Klavier didn’t seem resentful of his opponent having put his brother behind bars. The trial proceeded without emotional breakdowns, and Apollo handed Klavier a solid defeat.

In his next case versus Justice, Klavier’s bandmate, Daryan Crescend, was put behind bars. For a murder committed during a Gavinners concert, no less! Apollo Justice had had only three cases, and he had already managed to put away two of the most important people in Klavier’s life. Thanks a lot, Herr Forehead.

Yet another case with Justice defending followed, this time involving more forgeries, lots of nail polish, strange time warping spy cameras, and yet more blood on the hands of Kristoph Gavin. Of course, good things came out of the trial, too. It was found out that Phoenix hadn’t actually had the forgeries made seven years ago, Apollo and his adorable sidekick Trucy turned out to be half siblings, and no one died of nail polish poisoning. And, yeah, Klavier lost his brother. Again.

Some guys can’t win.
